Reading Photos

Havana, Cuba
Alberto Reyes-Rueters
Air Force One, carrying U.S. President Barack Obama and his family, flies over a neighborhood in Havana, Cuba as it approaches the runway to land at Havana's international airport, on March 20, 2016.
1. A good observation is how many shades of blue are in this photo, and how it is perfectly timed.
2. The people in this photograph probably are wondering why there is a huge blue plane in the sky and who is in it, or where it is going.
3. This photo is really good because of the many different things happening. The huge plane in the sky, the amount of blue in the photo, it makes it a good photo.
Malheur Natural Wildlife Refuge, Oregon
Rob Kerr
Duane Ehmer on his horse, Hellboy. He was in a group of anti-government protesters who took over a federally owned wildlife sanctuary for nearly 6 weeks.
1. I would title this Pure America, I would do so because this is very patriotic and a very beautiful and stunning photo.
2. This photo reminds me of a Wild West movie where they use only horses as transportation and horses a big role.
3. The man in this photo is undoubtedly trying to represent the country he loves by looking and portraying the United States.
Grand Teton National Park
Charlie Hamilton James
Parts of the Yellowstone region are wilder now than they’ve been in a century. Grizzlies are spreading. This one, in Grand Teton National Park, fends off ravens from a bison carcass. Workers moved it away from the road to keep scavengers and tourists apart.
1. The most important part in this photo is how the vultures are trying to steal what the bear worked for, they are swooping in trying to feast on the dead yak when the bear isn't looking directly a them.
2. The photographer in this photo captured a fantastic photo by really pulling out the true meaning of a vulture swooping in to rob off of the bear.
3. If this was my photo I would've done the same thing he did by submitting it to National Geographic.
